Mazebreaking
In the narrow, twisting streets of Zot Goran, Maray and before their fall Jarvenol and Cape Za'Suul, it can be hard to find one's way as a tourist. For the minotaur population, there is no issue navigating the labyrinth their cities are constructed to serve as, and this is a defining feature of Gorani architecture and urban planning.
The population is far more mixed than the architecture is designed for, however. Long intermixing with Air Genasi and Djinni, and the resulting population of Aerotaurs, mean that a sizable portion of the citizenry do not actually have an innate knack for solving mazes. Most figure it out just through living places long enough to know their way around, but some find it quite bewildering. Some however, look to defy the closed-in walls and long twisting paths to reach any destination.
These people, mostly young air genasi and aerotaurs, call themselves Mazebreakers. Because it sounds cool. These people of auran descent take delight in finding the direct paths through these winding cities, using the genasi ability to levitate as well as just climbing over buildings and cutting through alleys. As a form of exploration and for racing, Mazebreakers try and find the fastest route across the cities of K'ul Goran.
Naturally, climbing over people's houses is generally prohibited, and outrunning the local watch has rapidly also become a part of the life of this community. Given how effective these Breakers are as couriers and runners across town, some have called for the practice to be legalised to both enable people to hire them legitimately.
In the spirit of not putting up barriers to passage, the community is quite open and welcoming, even bringing some of the more agile and athletic minotaurs on board, who find delight in disrupting the order they natively understand so well and opening them up to new possibilities.
