Key Topic: Building Allies - led by LSU
- Preparations to hold a short election for someone to fill Lord Kensington's (deceased) seat on the council continue. Candidates to be put forward within the month. - SM & JA leading
- Report from GV read out. Planned leasing of AA to KG to build a fortress for 100,000gp has been postponed indefinitely as KG need to focus on civilian reconstruction first.
AOB:
- LSU highlighted that GV's work developing the relationship with KG has been very positive - ultimately resulting in DL adventurers saving the multiverse.
- Coll added that they should receive additional recognition for this feat
- LSU noted that the nations DH has encountered (KG, Kundar, Vorsthold) are very disparate with little interaction
- JA added that this means they trade less with each other, making more financial opportunity for us. SM agreed.
- LSU proposed that building stronger relationships - more as allies than just trade opportunities, multilaterally - we would be in a position to turn this region of Kantas & Joran into a strong community to provide more protection to each other. Large threats have already appeared in the 5 years of DH, and more likely will.
- LSU proposed a multilateral treaty, tentatively called the Aegis Accords, and a series of diplomatic missions to Kundar, Vorsthold and potentially Aeschira and other smaller groups to aim for all to sign up to help protect each other.
- Initial sense: AA, LSU, Coll, CCJ in favour, SM, JA against.
- Result: Draft document to be drawn up by LSU - AA to assist. To be reviewed next meeting.
Meeting Ends
- Council congratulated Coll on his birthday. There was cake.
