Syll the Eternal Child
"Thrice the brinded cat has mewed! Thrice and once the hedge-pig whined! Harpy cries 'tis time, 'tis time!"
Annointed Starlight Syll Of the Triumvirate (a.k.a. The Eternal Child)
Syll, the Annointed Starlight and Eternal Child, the Orpiment-Fingered, Voice of Striplings, Tregetour, the First of the Cycle; by many names this goddess is known, and even more still, in the many illusions and disguises she has placed herself into the role of throughout the years. The Voice of Striplings speaks for all children, and mirrors them; she is the eternal child. Any alchemist worth their salt is adherent to her mythos, as many of her plots and tales involve potions, with the recipes hidden in metaphor. The songs of Syll are playground topics, and her priests hold responsibility over the festivals of the land they hold domain over.
Syll's clergy is split into the Syllan Alchemists and the Creche of Syll. The Syllan Alchemists are known for being an unreliable bunch with hearts of gold; while one is often conning you, they will do what is right in the end, according to their own press. The Alchemists as a group have no restrictions on the lives of their followers, but ban the sharing of knowledge in anything other than cryptic songs and folktales. The Creche of Syll are essentially a child care service, often operating out of another church; they teach the songs of Syll, adopt orphans, and hold festivities.

Personal history
After the World-Parent gave birth to the world, it lacked spark, creativity, or humanity. It is said that on one perfect night, a storm of intense air pulled phlogiston, stardust itself, from space down. The water of the rain, the fire, the water, and the earth it all mixed on with the phlogiston, alchemized together and created Syll, solidifying the stardust into one being.
Syll never grew up, as stars never change; while she may learn lessons for a time, she never learns them for long. The World-Parent adopted her as her daughter, in a way, and she is forever being trained in proper morality, despite being a conniving brat in many of her mythos.
The archetypal Syllic myth is that on one night, Syll met with Magnehamn, god of the hunt, and offered him a potion that would make him a great hunter. Accepting, Magnehamn drank the potion, and was shocked to find that he was incapable of hurting anyone. Pleased that she had saved mortals from violent death at the hands of nature, Syll went to bed, and awoke to find that predators were starving, unable to kill anymore. Realizing her mistake and how her deceit had hurt everyone, she gave him an antidote.
However, it is said that there are many myths where Syll saves the world through her trickery, though none of which have been transcribed into any written songbook or text.
