The Continent

Elves. You can't trust them. Not the True Elves anyways. Common Elves, yeah. Am I saying Reyer was a con artist? Not at all. But I don't trust my parent. Never knew when they were born, or when they died.... or even if. The Continent may as well not exist as far as I am concerned, plain and simple. We will operate as we always have: focusing on the Isles first.
King Heidemarie II of Chevalia, 410 AMN
It is said that the Isles are simply an archipelago in the bay of a much larger continent, but that a large and treacherous sea separates them. The Continent was once accessible, but over the years the Isles have been cut off from it. It once had a name, but this is lost to time. True Elves claim to remember the Continent, and be originally from it, but only share its Sylvan name.
Due to the fact that only the True Elves speak memory of the Continent; we cannot be sure if any of their reports are true. They claim it to be home of the great Empire that unified the Isles many years ago, and the original homes of the Ulanshi and other peoples that were brought to the Isles by said Empire. They claim it to be held solely by a Sylvan empire that can sail the stars; using hooks and tethers to pull the ships up to the fragments of the moon.
