Nahla Hassan
Dear Princess,
I am struggling to accept your passing. You were the light that illuminated our emperor's entire empire. Your radiance and positivity lifted our spirits, even in the darkest times. I will forever envy your kindness. When the lower city teetered on the brink of starvation due to the Golden Infection, you defied orders to stay within the palace walls. You traveled to the edge of the continent, seeking those willing to trade supplies. In other cities, the rich and noble wouldn't give a loaf of bread to starving children, yet you went without food for weeks. The children were initially frightened by your frail, sickly body as you approached them with sustenance, but they will never forget the starving angel who saved them.

Dear Oracle,
The news of your death has reached me, and I am upset to realise that our conversations while overlooking the empire during my yearly visits will never happen again. I will miss your words deeply. You were so young, yet wiser than many of my civilization's elders, a thought that always made me smile.
I have offered your brother a hundred of my strongest shadow hunters in hopes they can bring justice to your death. When my time comes, I pray I do not find Elysium but instead join you in whatever great afterlife awaits. Save some of your wisdom for me.
Rest in peace, Enkimdu.

Enki,
I warned you about your foolish kindness more than once; you made the gods jealous—a monstrous feat. Your greatest curse was your heart, too forgiving of this world and the people in it. I wish you had listened to me. Humans are weak creatures, and no matter how much you love them, you must distrust them as your only defense against betrayal. It's ironic that I'll never know if you truly trusted me. It always felt like you thought I was a danger to your brother. But, my dear Enki, your brother is a beautiful monster, and I have no fear of a monster betraying me.
Do not fear, pure one. My niece remembers you fondly; she loved your visits to my city. That nickname you gave her—"Zurie," wasn't it? I'll make sure she knows it was her favorite visitor who gave it to her.
Sleep well, Princess.

To High Princess Enkimdu,
Thank you for the knowledge you imparted to me; I have a whole part of my mind dedicated to you. I suggested to my emperor the possibility of preserving your essence in another vessel, but he refused, believing it to be the greatest disrespect. Your philosophy of fate would have railed against it. His pain is profound, and it has left me weeping in my study. I cannot understand how his expression remains so stoic. The bond between siblings must be strong. I love my emperor and will continue to serve him without question. I hope my loyalty brings you some peace in the land of the dead.

Jolton Hades
Enkkadian,
Without your thoughtfulness, my people would have been eradicated by our emperor. Yet, you convinced him to give us a chance despite our constant hindrance to this wonderful nation. Appointing me to lead my people into a new era of diplomacy, away from the violence that has plagued us for generations, is an honor for which I cannot express enough gratitude.
When you first visited our territory, my people viewed you as a demon wielding powerful words instead of weapons, unlike our emperor. They resented you, but that changed swiftly as they saw the improvements integration into the empire brought. The statue we built in your honor will stand forever, kept as pristine as the day it was erected.
I, Jolton Hades of the Scattered, thank you, Enkkadian. Rest in peace.
