Ser Gantrick Cordelaine (a.k.a. The Knight of Ballads)
The Ballad of The Lioness sings the tragic tale of The Lioness, General Lowenna Benett Oake, and her heroic last stand towards the end of The Tambar Rebellion. In the bard's telling, there is a verse about a heroic knight, who rode to her rescue, only to arrive too late. What the bards don't tell, is that this knight never should have left her side.

William once traded his meat and bread for everyone's bean rations, and spent three hours farting. Long after the joke stopped being funny, and we were trying to sleep, it suddenly started being funny again.
We were a family, whether we wanted to be or not. Lowenna let us be a family. She knew how to get the most out of us. And she gave inspiring speeches, but that wasn't what dragged us through the battles. At least not me. When swords were clashing, I wasn't thinking about Lowenna telling us that if we fought as heroes we would die as heroes. I was thinking about whoever was next to me - Clarissa.
Clarissa could flip her eyelids inside out, and stick her top lip to her gums and make a weird hissing noise. When the rookies would fall asleep first, she liked to creep over and shake them awake while making that face at them.
Gregor - Gregor pissed himself the first time she did it. He hated the nickname that stuck with him for a month after. Made him fight all the harder to make us forget about it. Gregor the Wet covered himself in so much Tambarist blood, that we had no choice but to call him Gregor the Red.
