Ceres (Seer-Rees)

Goddess of Life Ceres is the Hyborian god of healing. She originally had the simple task of provide blessings of healing and baking little cakes. She really loved the offering of cakes; wedding cake, funeral cakes (with well wishes to the afterlife), celebration of life cakes. All of her holidays included various wheat cakes. When the Hyborians arrived in the Lost Lands and Khemit, her duties began to change. It became not just the blessings and baking, but having to remember herbs and surgical tools. Her temples became filled with perscriptions and anatomy. the simple garden of wheat overflowed with all sorts of plants. The Khemitians were left with giving her the prayers that were normally offered to others. The Waeb looked toward the knowledge of healing, not just Magic. Their Ceresepeion temples functioned like apothecaries and field hospitals.
Her holy symbol changed to that of the Eye, to ward off disease and evil magics. At least Cakes were still offered. though they now all are shaped like an eye, the flavors expanded. Her new favorite offering are the honey/Tiger Nut Cakes.
