Demotic

Demotic language began between -1000 and -1500 I.R. as symbolic Hieratic language evolved into an alphabet. With each letter, one sound and thus a more unified language (Old Khemitian). Demptic language is concidered Old Khemitian separating it from Ancient Khemitian. It is also the language which helped reunite the nation with Pharaoh Narmar , the first Pharaoh of the Double Kingdom of Khemit. Demotic script is also known as sekh shat or "Writing for Documents" becoming the official written langugage for govenment, trade, etc and replacing the cuneform. The flowing cursive language had no common direction of wiriting (left to right, top to bottom, or right to left), which was mostly based on how the Pharaoh or Nomarch liked to read and write documents.

Mystery Words

While the Demotic and Hieratic language are unique creations, there are a few symbols and words that appear to have High Boros roots. Power/Energy, Dragon, Death, Gold/Wealth are examples of words that have barely changed and almost universally understood.
