House of Penthru: Dining Room
The doors are partially blocked from the outside by a stone table, tipped over. Sand has piled up in the doorway and flowed into the foyer.
Once covered by a great wooden shade, the dining room area has been exposed to the bleaching effects of the sun and dusting of sand. The view from here is even better than from the balcony below. The grey cat from the balcony follows, weaving through the door to some stairs leading to the roof.
Most of the floor is covered in dry crunchy wood bits. The near wall has stone tables with battered and oxidized bronze pots and cracked ceramic dishes; the remains of food preparation area. There are the remains of four wooden chairs here; presumably it was a family of four. Further investigation shows that the dining room was torched (charcoal/ash can be found below the sand).
Searching the floor will find the remains of two individuals, though most of the bones have crumbled to almost nothing and the scattering of a serving set for four. the serving utensils are of fine quality and mostly undamaged. there is also a perturbed asp resting under the table to get out of the heat.
