Kmeser Seeker (K-me-ser)

The Kmeser tree is highly sought after for its jelly (Leukos). However, its dangerous properties and being a known assassin tool has lead to strong regulation of the extraction of the jelly by the Royal government. To ensure that illegal gathering of Leukos is stamped down, the Royal government created a job for the exploratory minded of the country. A Kmeser Seeker's job is deceptively simply. They are to find, and if possible secure, Kmeser trees out in the wilds of the country. Sadly, this is harder than it would seem. The tree only thrives when on a host tree and they can blend in to the surround environment very well. The untrained can often walk right past a whole grove of Kmeser trees in the depths of a swamp. Even more pressingly, they are frequently found in the heart of Krensar wolf pack territories and said packs are quite willing to attack humans who get too close to their territory's core. There is the simple fact that the tree can also be found parasitizing trees in strange locations, making their job quite hard. As such, Kmeser Seekers often travel far and wide to find their targets.
Then when they have found said trees, they must attempt to secure them. This typically involves calling on local military aid to ward off the locals (humans seeking Leukos and Krensar wolves alike) and ensure that the Royal Leukos Alchemists are able to extract as much Leukos as is safe. Sadly, attempts to permanently claim the areas around the trees is hard due to their remoteness and the frequent Krensar attacks but the groups are usually able to get what they want and leave. The locations are marked down on charts to be frequently checked. It is not unheard of a Kmeser to relocate after being subject to Leukos extraction or simply die outright so the search for them is endless. As part of the rewards for their job, a Kmeser Seeker may claim the flowers of the Kmeser for their own purposes.
