The Remnants

Following the Second Sundering some deities thought lost or dead managed to form a semblance of life. Placing a spark of their divinity in living vessels, they created their "Chosen". Once these Gods were reborn, they had no need for these avatars. Most were raised to places of power or honour, while others were discarded and betrayed.
Those discarded, the Remnants, seek to repay the gods in kind.
