Introduction - Read First
When creating your character keep in mind
- Your character is in Year 3, making them around 15/16 years old, or their racial equivalent. They have been at the school for 2 years.
- You will be starting at Level 1.
- The following classes are available to you: Artificer, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Sorcerer, Warlock, and Wizard. These are what the school curriculum has the capacity to instruct. The combat encounters will be fit to a party of casters.
- If you want to play a warlock, you would likely be a transfer student. Warlocks were not admitted into Taurenly until this academic year, and their introduction has been handled sloppily. Think about how this can build your character.
- If you should like to multiclass in the future, you are welcome to.
- The following races are available to you: Human, Dragonborn, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, Half-Elf, Halfling, Half-Orc, Orc, or Tiefling. Any others must be negotiated.
- If you want to play an elf, come up with a reason that you would be attending Taurenly, as most elves deny attending on principle. Are your parents highly progressive? Are you defying their wishes? Are you an orphan?
- The world outside of The Isle du Nord has been minimally developed to allow for players to really control where they come from. If you want to play a dwarf, you can choose what your upbringing was like and where you grew up.
- In this world, humans are the racial majority, and barriers to racial segregation have only been broken down in the last 50-75 years.
- The party will be formed during Session 1, but Taurnely is not a large school, so you will already know your fellow party members. Think of how you feel about each of your fellow classmates.
