Koa

Koa stones are magical stones imported from the far East.
They can assist humans in using elemental magic. For those with natural magical ability, they can increase the effects of a spell or be used in place of a spell slot.
Koa have an affinity towards certain elements, which can usually be deduced from their colour.
They appear to serve as vessels of elemental power, allowing a magic user to access the stores within. Eventually, a Koa will stop working and become 'empty'.
