Creature of the Old Forest

"Creature of the Old Forest" is a general term mostly used in the Märchen Forest to describe any of the lesser known, magical or elemental beings that primarily inhabited the region prior to the establishment of the Kingdom.
Though the numbers of these populations have dwindled over the centuries, they can still be found living in isolated communities in the forest. Those categorized in this group are often distrustful of other races, as they have often been cited as scapegoats and have fallen prey to violence over the years.
