Human

Humans are a common race of people in the Known World. They first arrived on the continent several thousand years ago from across the Western Sea and established the Ancient Southern Kingdoms. They then migrated north, establishing kingdoms in Tawar and the Märchen Forest.
Humans are typically 5-7 feet tall and have a medium build. Like other races, humans exhibit considerable variation depending on where they claim ancestry. For example, the humans of Tawar typically have darker complexions, curly hair, and blue eyes. This is compared to the humans of the Märchen Forest who often have lighter complexions and hair.
Because of their shorter life spans and their more recent arrival in the Known World, humans are considered to be a "younger" and more "immature" race than others. However, they make up for their lack of natural wisdom, magical aptitude, and craftsmanship with a keen sense of cunning and adaptability. Astute politicians and strategists, humans are masters in matters of state, diplomacy, finance, and war, which, along with their alliances with the Elves, have made them a dominate force on the continent.
