Cult of the New-Age Overlord

Structure

A series of high priests and warriors take independent command over various areas of the cult, leading to active independently functioning wings, but limiting co-ordination with egotistical leaders. 'Bishops' are effectively captains, and lead warbands or are sent as envoys to Bannermen owned settlements in an attempt to spread their influence.

Culture

A very inwards looking, scientific and ruthless group, the overlords seek advancement no matter the cost, and will expend large amounts of coin and lives to make any gains against their rivals or in terms of their armament,

Public Agenda

To protect the new age, free from overlords

History

Born out of a rebel faction against the empire, the overlords changed from a borderline anarchist group into a regimented science group over time, seeing co-ordinated military strength as the best line of defence against the tyranny of an overlord, to the point of being cult-like in their hatred of high authority. They tolerate the bannermen as a minor faction, but if the bannermen were to find a strong leader and begin expansion beyond the borders of cedarwood, they would surely come to blows.
