The Dragon Night

After decades of maltreatment, being forced into the shadows and forming makeshift bands to survive, the dragonkin finally united under the Wayward Plumbers who reformed into the Dragonian Revivalists. After nine years of careful planning, planting operatives in every court, mercenary group and settlement they positively could, and on the night of the coronation of flyyal the anvil as king of the Frontier, they rose up with a mass assassination of prominent figures, sending the Frontier into disarray, then using their amassed wealth to buy every mercenary possible, and secure loyalties of important positions, to form an army and new government then to march west to deal with the anticipated Imperial response. The Frontier would be divided into provinces and overseen by different factions within the plumbers, and the subduing of their own province would become a factional effort.
