Her love vast but her scorn just as mighty, she gave the final order to banish humanity from their lands.

History

[/left /500/] The Ithil wood is believed to be the premordial birthplace of magic in the natural world, being touched by the stars and the ever present glow of the moon. In the wild world still untamed Man and Elf inhabited the wood together in acient times passed. Survival was determined by one's aclemation to their environment, and the elves seemed to have an inate grasp of the primordial magic inladden within the roots of the forest. Following the roots to their source, the Elves made covenant with the Great Tree. Humanity still struggling against the will of the wood, hadn't the gift for harnessing the magic of the trees as the elves did. Their was a period of harmony between the two races. The Elves shared with Man the gift of the weave and the delicate balance of living in harmony with nature. This period of harmony soon came to a head, when the elves realized the rapid growth of mankind's numbers would soon outnumber them, and disrupt the order of the wood. The Elve's true allegiance being to the Great Tree. The Great betrayal of humanity was set into motion, after much deliberation the Elders honored their convenent and banished Mankind from the wood. Mankind resisted and a bloody culling of mankind ensued, they were no match for their elven masters. Their numbers greatly diminished, mankind retreated from their ancestral homeland.
