The Land of Faerun

Faerun is an old world with a rich history of kingdoms rising and falling, in the Year 1492, the Year of the Three Sailing Ships, all eyes are on the Sword Coast, where the Lords Alliance is rising to prominence as a world power, but already facing conflict from within.   Recently, the Lords Alliance lost two members, as Sundabar was ransacked by an army of orcs, and Everlund left the Lords Alliance in protest to their failure to save Sundabar. Even more recently, Neverwinter and Waterdeep have come to odds with one another, as the former Open Lord of Waterdeep, Dagult Neverember, was stripped of his title and banished from the city after the Masked Lords discovered him embezzling city funds to rebuild the recently destroyed city of Neverwinter.   Dagult, who in addition to Open Lord, was also making himself Lord Protector and King of Neverwinter, resents the actions of the Masked Lords.   Rumor has it, before Daggult was ousted from the City of Splendors (as Waterdeep is often called), he left behind a vast collection of wealth that he had been stealing from the city. These rumors have given rise to action, as various factions such as the Xanathar Guild and the Zhentarim, have begun open conflict in the streets of Waterdeep, racing to find this hidden treasure.   Many believe, that whoever finds this wealth, will have great sway over the Lords Alliance, and the future of the Sword Coast.
