There are individuals throughout the world that are distrustful of tieflings. Some even hate them. Like the man who took both of Makaria’s parents away from her. He murdered them because he was ignorant and hateful. 
Makaria’s aunt took her in and raised her as her own.

Makaria is an apothecary, known as the hookup for things you need from the places you wouldn’t be caught dead.
