Deep Gnomish Cultural Traits
Cave gnomish culture and education tend to promote hard work, seriousness, and a carefulness that borders on suspicion of the unknown. The hardy few cave gnomes that survive deep beneath the earth are also resourceful pragmatists and have developed many methods of surviving the hostile depths of the earth.
Ability Score Increase
Your Intelligence score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Alignment
Cave gnomish culture also values kindness and sacrifice for the greater good. Their dedication to a craft is nearly unrivaled, with many excelling as jewellers, prospectors, smiths, or warriors. Those raised among gnomish society are generally good-hearted, and even the tricksters among them are more playful than vicious.
Superior Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
Deep Gnome Camouflage
When you make a Dexterity (Stealth) check, you can make the check with advantage. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Languages
You can speak, read, and write Common, Gnomish and Undercommon. The Gnomish language, which uses the Dwarvish script, is renowned for its technical treatises and its catalogs of knowledge about the natural world.
Gift of the Depths
Starting at 3rd level, you can cast the disguise self spell with this trait. Starting at 5th level, you can also cast the nondetection spell with it, without requiring a material component. Once you cast either of these spells with this trait, you can't cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast these using spell slots you have of the appropriate level.
Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this culture).
