Eliana Nadir

A Blood Hunter in the Order of the Profane Soul, a warrior of the Labyrinth, and a potential heir of Queen Wisp Contras. Eliana is younger than many of her peers -- being less than two hundred years old -- but makes up for her "youth" with considerable battlefield experience for her age. 
To ensure that the succession is protected from a single cataclysm, Wisp's heirs cycle out of the Labyrinth for a few years at a time. It is currently Eliana's "turn" on the surface world, and she spends this time (somewhat begrudgingly) running the Legends Alliance enclave in Van'Duras.

Hemocraft -- blood magic. Can use her own blood to power arcane rites on her sword, inflict blood curses, and uses pact magic to supplement her martial abilities.

Personal history

War Orphan

Eliana was originally a peasant girl from northern Uradiel, raised by two farmers on the outskirts of Ralia Lake. Labyrinth raiders attacked Uradiel when she was roughly ten years old, and her parents were killed in battle. Chikara Nadir personally led troops near Ralia Lake and -- in her fashion -- chose to adopt many of the war orphans that she had created that day. Eliana was of special interest given the defiant fury in her young eyes. In fact, Eliana refused to speak for weeks, solely out of spite.
She was taken to the Labyrinth and was transformed by Lazu's magic within, gaining darkvision and bright red eyes. She was also taught to read, something that would have never been provided for her in Uradiel, and received a robust general education (complete with weapons training). 

Mentored by the Three Rulers

Though chiefly raised by Chikara, Eliana also spent time with Selena Nadir and Wisp Contras. Her relationships with the three varied wildly. Chikara was a difficult-to-please-but-quick-to-protect guardian. Wisp was a doting aunt. Selena was a belligerent and begrudging teacher who she bantered with. Each gave Eliana advanced combat training, though her talents were largely most compatible with Selena's -- and so she shadowed the Labyrinth's general for several years. Eliana was always that random child in the war room, watching happily as strategists planned battles, handing soldiers weapons on their way out. 
Eventually, Eliana proved exceedingly intelligent and was recruited by the Order of the Profane Soul, a branch of blood hunters headquartered in the nearby castle of Dysteris. They had a loose alliance with the Labyrinth and often exchanged personnel in a show of good faith. Eliana was "sent off to college" to learn blood magic. Whether there was weeping or not remains a secret.

Becoming a Blood Hunter

Eliana being sent off to college was a mercy. Because in the year 610, she was safe in Dysteris when the first devils invaded the Labyrinth, killing Chikara, supposedly killing Selena, and slaughtering the entire royal guard. The first waves of the invasion were quick and deadly. Eliana's training was accelerated, and she formed a pact similar to the one that Selena had -- though which entity she swore a pact to is yet unknown. 
Training complete, she returned to the Labyrinth with a mastery of blood curses, and used her new talents to hunt down fiends with astonishing brutality. It is said she spent several decades on the front line of the conflict.
At some point, she was badly wounded -- suffering lacerations and infernal burns to one half of her body, including her face. The injuries did not heal properly and she still bears the scars. 

Today

Eliana was named one of Wisp's potential successors, both due to her combat prowess and due to her connections with Chikara. Wisp ordered her off the front lines and sent her to the surface to ensure at least one heir would remain safe from a single devastating attack. She has been in Van'Duras for the last several years, leading the Legends Alliance enclave there. 
She has little patience for the clandestine operations that Kai prefers, and is far more open to direct combat with Hegemony forces.
