Zora

The Zora are sentient aquatic humanoids who live in the riverways and oceans of the world. They are split across many independent kingdoms. Zora settlements above water exist only for commerce with surface dwellers, while their true cities and homes are fully submerged under water. Zora thrive in both saltwater and freshwater.   River kingdoms tend to build their settlements in hard-to-reach locations in the mountains or near deltas. Ocean kingdoms are fully submerged and built directly onto the seabed. Most submerged settlements will maintain a floating dock to receive shipments from land-based civilizations and maritime traders, which can be retracted in times of peril.
