Seven Heavens

The Seven Heavens are idealized ultimate goodness through the filters of justice, mercy, and compassion. Most visitors to the plane envision it as ascending from the first layer to the topmost seventh layer. Whether entry to the plane is by gate, portal, travel along the river Benevion, or the astral plane, all visitors to the plane enter in the waters of Benevion, though here the Benevion is more of a delta than a river.
The plane of the Seven Heavens is comprised of seven sub-layers. In order they are: Tropmaran, Stramaran, Stratpolox, Maemaran, Thampolox, Thamxaran, and Xendimaran.

Traits of the Seven Heavens

Gravity
Normal. Gravity is down and the same strength as the Prime Material plane.
Time
Normal. Time flows at the same rate here as it does on the Prime Material plane.
Size
Infinite. The layers extends outwards infinitely.
Morphism
Lesser Leitan Deities and above can morph the plane. Non-divine creatures will find it to be about as morphic as the Prime Material plane.
Elemental Traits
There are no preferred or restricted elemental traits.
Miasmic Traits
There are no preferred or restricted miasmic traits.
Planar Alignment
The plane is mildly good aligned and mildly law aligned. Evil creatures and chaotic creatures suffer a -2 on all charisma based checks. Creatures that are chaotic evil suffer a -4 penalty on all charisma based checks.
Magic Traits
Spells cast by good aligned creatures receive a bonus and spells cast by evil aligned creatures receive a penalty. More surprising is that spells cast which might cause direct harm, do evil, or spread chaos are uncastable in the Seven Heavens.

Seven Heavens' Planar Links

Intraplanar

At the very center of each layer is a spiral staircase that stretches up and into the sky. This starcaise will take you to the next higher layer in the Seven Heavens. When you reach the top of the staricase and crawl out of the trap door, a traveller will find themselves 777 miles due (what passes for north) from the center of the next higher layer. The trap door is in a small gazebo.

Extraplanar

The only way of reaching the Seven Heavens is via the first layer, Tropmaran. All extraplanar portals depost the traveller on this layer, specifically waist deep in the water of the river Benevion. The only outbound portals from the Seven Heavens originate on this level.

Seven Heavens Inhabitants

Besides petitioners, the Seven Heavens are home to several inherently good creatures. aasimars, celestials, solars, and dragons of several types all dwell here. The primary residents are archons. Archons are the Seven Heavens equivalent of devils and demons.

Seven Heavens Petitioners

Like every other out plane, the Seven Heavens is mostly populated by petitioners. These are the spirits of mundane and planars whose bodies reformed on the Seven Heavens; the plane which aligns with their alignment.
Petitioners on the Seven Heavens work to ascend to higher and higher layers of The Heavens where they might ascend to a more and more powerful archon. Petitioners to the Seven Heavens will eventually arise as an archon of the lowest level, latnern archons. As the lantern archons rise through the ranks, obtain a thorough understanding of laws, and performing greater and greater good deeds, they will often times climb the archon heirarchy. Regardless of the level of archon achieved, archons are an archetype of compassion and goodness.

Seven Heavens Features

All of the layers of the Seven Heavens are illuminated in the warm soft glow of the color of each of the layers as detailed below. Each layer on its own is an ideal setting unto itself, but when the seven layers are combined and considered as one plane, it exceeds ideal. Some might say, "it has gone plaid.".
Gravity on each of the layers remains at the same strength and direction. There is no unsettling change in the way down is when you chift between the layers like often times happens in the Abyss. This same feature of planar gravity reinforces the symbology of ascending into heaven. Each planar layer is higher, and therefore more pure, than the last.
The individual layer names are from the arcane language of the nephillium. However, some groups of deities have regions on the infinite layers that they refer to by a more mundane name. e.g. some halfling gods, demigods, and heroes my have a region they refer to as The Green Fields.

First Layer - Tropmaran

Tropmaran is the entry layer to the plane, and the layer that borders the Astral Plane. All portals into the Seven Heavens from the Astral Plane, the Outlands, Lutlaus, or Nirvana deposit their uses on this layer of the Seven Heavens. Those using the described portals always find themselves waste deep in the waters of the Benevion.
Departure from Tropmaran can be accomplished in multiple ways. Travellers can use anyone of the numerious portals on the layer, provided they know the location and have the appropriate key. A second way of departure, albeit only higher into the plane, is the stairway, Paxida, at the center of the layer. Paxida can be seen from almost every location on the plane as it stretches to the skies. A traveller successfully climbing Paxida, will emerge on the second layer of the Seven Heavens, Stramaran. Finally travellers can use abilities or spells similar to Gate, Teleport without Error, Planeshift, etc... to depart or arrive to this layer.

Second Layer - Stramaran

Third Layer - Stratpolox

Forth Layer - Maemaran

Fifth Layer - Thampolox

Sixth Layer - Thamxaran

Seventh Layer - Xendimaran
