A shimmery-blue metal primarily found in high-altitude mines

Physical & Chemical Properties

The metal completely nullifies magic. As long as it is in contact with the body of a subject, they will find all attempts to use magic routed to and absorbed by the metal. For that reason it is often used in shackles for prisons to keep mages from compromising their security. It is also used as a very expensive coating for weapons to leave dimeritium in the target which will keep them from casting magic for a significant amount of time (depending on the amount of dimeritium in the subject) until it passes through them.
