Grand High Gold Archmage of the Circle Athlai Lealla
Athlai Lealla is the current Grand High Archmage of the Circle of High Archmages within the Cobalt Sun. She is also the currently-living time-born plane-soul, highly adept in time-related magic and often receiving visions of her past and future selves. As far as the time-born plane-souls go, Athlai is fairly well-adjusted. Due to the nature of her species, she is somewhat cryptic at times - something that those close to her have to get used to. As one of the youngest people to hold the title of Grand High Archmage, she has received as much criticism as she has support. However, she has not let this influence her thoughts or actions. Instead, she simply does her job, and does it well. To her, she does not have the time to be bothered by complaints of those who have no idea the details of her situation.
Personal History
Early Life
Athlai was born to a single mother who died shortly after her birth, orphaning her and leaving her to grow up within an orphanage in southern Vehasi. There, she was always somewhat of an outsider among the children in the orphanage. She did not mind this very much, however, as she mostly kept to herself anyways - dedicating herself to studying the magic that she seemed to innately be able to cast. She spent her childhood developing her connection to the elemental plane of time, Tempor, and it was not long before she began to receive visions of her other incarnations.Prodigal Child
It also did not take long for the orphanage staff to realise that something was strange about this child. She was only 13 years old when they all pooled their wealth together to send her to the University of Solimé, where she was able to get an education in magic.A Career in Magic
From there, she would move on to research and publication, doing so within the guidelines of the Cobalt Sun. She drew the attention of the then-members of the Revelatory Circle of Energy, who were quick to realise what was going on. As soon as one of the members of the circle stepped down, the offer to join that circle was sent to Athlai, who graciously accepted.The Cobalt Sun
Initially the Inscriber Archmage for the Revelatory Circle of Energy, it did not take very long for Athlai to climb the ranks of the organisation, soon becoming High Archmage of her circle, and then later Grand High Archmage of the Circle of High Archmages.Despite her youth, Althai has not failed her duties as the Grand High Archmage, and her lawful outlook does align with the goals of the organisation itself. As such, she has become a well-liked leader within the Cobalt Sun.
Other Characteristics
Education
Athlai was educated at the University of Solimé, where she studied primarily True Magic, with an additional focus on Utility Magic and Blood Magic. She graduated slightly earlier than most, due to careful planning of coursework and excellent testing and evaluation. She used the time after her graduation to get an early start on research grants and experiment proposals, and she had made some advancements in the field of metamagic before she was even a member of the Revelatory Circle of Energy.

Employment
Athlai Lealla is currently the High Archmage of the Revelatory Circle of Energy and Grand High Archmage of the Circle of High Archmages. She is paid through the funding received by her organisation, and receives enough to live fairly comfortably, though she is not particularly wealthy. All of her previous work history has been through the Cobalt Sun, primarily through her research and experiments. Many of the findings of these experiments have been used as a basis for other work.
