There are a few different currency systems across Vehasi, each of which have their own values and conversion rates. Almost every nation in Vehasi has its own system of currency, with the one exception to this being Mestrania and Eclania, which share a currency system. However, in recent years, Vechia has offered to establish mints in other countries for their own coins, in order to create a standard currency that is accepted and used across the continent.
Most Vehasic countries have adopted this currency to remain in good standing with Vechia, with the exception of Mestrania, currently under trade sanctions, which has reverted back to using its original currency due to Vechia having disabled their mints in the country during the ongoing war. In the rest of the nations, Vechian Standard Currency is used with international trade, and accepted at most establishments as required by law, though the nations original currency is also used and accepted.

Vechian Standard Currency

The most popular currency across Vehasi is Vechian Standard Currency, or VSC. VSC is the currency of choice for adventurers, travellers, sailors, and anyone regularly crossing borders, as it removes the need to exchange currencies upon entering a new country. The majority of nations have regulations requiring that establishments accept payment in VSC, though some smaller stores or restaurants deep within their nation's borders will sometimes get away with solely using their own nation's currency.

VSC has four different coins, each with separate names. The least valuable type of coin is known as an edigan, a small coin made of copper, with a circular shape and a hole in the centre. The engraving in Paldoran on the coin's tail side can be found on the Vechian crest, and the face side of the coin depicts two crossed olive branches circling the hole in the centre.

Ten edigans make a lionis, a silver coin in a simple circle shape. On the face of the coin is a depiction of Lillon, and on the back is an inscription in Paldoran reading "Solace in balance". Ten lionis make up a draconia, a rounded square golden coin with a ten-eyed dragon face on the head's side of the coin. On the tail's side reads, "Bonds forged in blood" in Paldoran.

Ten draconias make up a viodium, the highest-value coin within VSC. It is a platinum coin in the shape of a 2:1 rectangle with rounded corners. On the head side of viodium in a depiction of Conzotl, god of the dwarves. The other side of the coin bears the symbol of a hammer, and a Paldoran inscription reading "Innovation is creation". Most people never see a viodium coin in their entire lifetimes, with the exception being those in high-paying professions, such as adventuring or thievery, as well as those born into wealth.

Reunic Currency

Reuni's currency is the second most widespread, in common use just behind VSC in the northern areas of the continent. Reuni has three different coins. The first and least valuable of these coins is the ashtel, a round copper coin which has a depiction of a set of scales with wings and a halo on its tail side, and on its heads side a depiction of a blindfolded woman. Engraved on the tail side of the coin in Reunic is the word "Justice". 15 ashtels make a siirin, a round silver coin, which on its tail side depicts four hands spreading out from the centre of the coin, and on its head depits a skull held in a single hand. Engraved on its tail side is the word "Death" in Reunic. 20 siirins make one myleth, a round gold coin. On the face side of the coin is the visage of Myldala, and on its tail side is a depiction of her symbol, two interlocking golden rings with an eye in their centre. Below this depiction is a Reunic inscription reading "Arcana".

Khastoran Currency

Traditional Khastoran currency is somewhat different from the rest of the nations of Vehasi. Rather than being made by precious metals, Khastoran coins are made from tree resin, which has gone through a process of hardening and curing to be somewhat gem-like in their appearance. Their coins have a leaf shape to them, an oval with two tapered ends. Khastoran currency, known in its entirety as eothra, has five different coins. Each of the coins has a different flower depicted on its face side, in order to distinguish between the coins. The tail side of all five coins reads "Founded in Faith" in Khastorin, an old saying from the Elven Congregation, which founded the nation. Also on the tail side of the coin reads the value of the currency in eothra.

The lowest-value coin in eothra is called the udar, which depicts a collection of small flowers on its face. It is worth one eothra. Eight udar makes one ruithar, worth eight eothra. The next coin above the ruithar in value is the olthar, worth 20 eothra. The ruithar is the most recent type of coin, only having been added to the currency a few centuries before present day. Next is the layethar, worth 32 eothra, and finally is the eothar, worth 80 eothra.

New Vransian Currency

New Vransi has one of the most complicated currency systems of the continent, with 12 different types of coins, each made from different metals. Each of the coins look identical, with the vransian crest on one side, and the nation's motto, "Heart in Earth", written in Vransic, on the other side. The only way to tell the coins apart is by identifying the metal used to make them, a task difficult to many outsiders. It is also little help that the actual value of the metals used in the coins do not at all correspond to their value within the currency.

Its lowest-value coin is the koruth, made of bronze. Three koruth make a tuuryn, made of copper. Two tuuryn make one zeth, made of brass. Seventeen koruth make a rudin, made of nickel. Eight tuuryn make the iron coin of utress, and two rudin make one reithar, made of steel. Two utress and two koruth make one yterra, a silver coin, and two yterra make one othar, made of silicon. Three reithar make one electrum coin, known as an ekkreis. One reithar and one tuuryn makes one tiir, made of gold, and five rudin make one qid, made of platinum. The highest value coin in the Vransian currency is the wyrn, made of titanium and equal to four tiir.

Dostran Currency

Dostran currency is entirely made of brass coins. Each of the coins has the face of a different dragon on them - these dragons are believed to be real dragons, though their names have since been lost. There are 7 such coins, each having values that are factors of 2.
The lowest-valued coin is known as vylim. Two vylim makes one mylarim, of which two makes one xylim. Two xylim makes one vyrgim, two vyrgim makes one mayelim, and two of those makes one landarim. Two landarim makes one imarim, and lastly, two imarim makes one aleyerim.

Eclanian Currency

Eclanian currency is made of three different metals: bronze, copper, and gold. Eclanian currency is also notable for its square shape, with rounded corners, on each of its different coins. Their gold coins are often mistaken for draconia, despite being worth more. Eclanian currency has 4 coins, two of which being made of bronze, one made of copper, and one made of gold.
The least valuabe coin in eclanian currency is the embyr. It is made of copper, and has a depiction of a small flame on its face side. Other than this, it is unremarkable. Five embyrs make one lumin, a bronze coin with a larger flame on its face. Below this flame, written in Hadthi, is an inscription reading "Flame Eternal". On the opposite side of the coin is a depiction of one of Eclania's many temples. Five lumins make one pyra, also made of bronze. The pyra depicts a torch, with a similar inscription below it, and another engraving of a temple on its tail side. Lastly, five pyra make one efyr, a golden coin depicting a burning brazier. Below it, again, is written the words "Flame Eternal" in Hadthi, and on its other side is a depiction of the Temple of the Eternal Flame in Tunstead, the Eclanian capitol.

Mestranian Currency

Mestrania has a similar currency system to Vechia, though with. It has a simple four-coin system, with conversion rates identical to VSC - each type of coin is worth ten of the previous coin. Its coins are ruthrym, koldar, fashil, and rougar, which are copper, silver, gold, and platinum, in that order.

Exchange Rates

2 draconia = 7 siirins
1 draconia = 21 eothra
1 draconia = 13 tiir
3 draconia = 1 mayelim
8 draconia = 1 efyr
1 draconia = 3 rougar
