The Faceless are a criminal organisation based in the southern cities of Khastoro. They have been a presence in the region for multiple centuries, but have fluctuated in power and influence much since then.
Structure
There are three major ranks within the Faceless, other than the family leading the organisaiton. The lowest rank are the initiates, people who have just joined the ranks of the organisation, and are not permitted much information. They are given jobs and expected to do them without question. Upon joining the organisation, initiates undergo a procedure where their mouth is sewn shut, so that they can never reveal the secrets of the organisation. Members of this rank wear blank masks, and trained to fight without the use of their eyes.
The middle rank within the organisations are the hunters. They are assassins for the organisation, and are afforded a bit more information than the lower rank of initiates. They are provided with gear and equipment, and they are given higher-quality masks with engravings.
The highest rank of the organisation obtainable by those not in the leading family are the strikers, highly specialised folk who are able to move undetected. Their masks are optional, but include black and gold detailing.
The leading members of the organisation are a family of elves, led by the matriarch Maryn the Cruel, an elf who has been alive since well before the God War. Her children, Liamaris Marynel, Astellodia Marynel, and Rysenna Marynor are responsible for running different parts of the organisation. Rysenna handles the assassins, and organizes recruits. Astelodia is responsible for magical interference and warfare, a task that she has enlisted the aid of Rothomir the Hollow for. Liamaris, an adopted child of the family, has the ability to change shape and uses this to infiltrate groups of interest to collect information.

Maryn the Cruel rules the organisation with an iron fist. The Faceless are relentless, known for never running away or giving up on a job, even fighting to the death - this is because if they return having failed their missions, there is a fate waiting for them much worse than death.Public Agenda
The Faceless, to anyone who knows enough about them, are a political extremist group who wishes to overthrow the current monarchy and instate Maryn, their leader, as the new leadership for the country. Maryn believes that she is the rightful ruler of the nation, having been the heir to the previous monarch before the God War had ended. However, during the God War, while Morvel the King was aiding his people and rebuilding Morvel, Maryn was cowering underground with her royal attendants, ordering them around.
