Goldcrest
Goldcrest is located on Blackstone Island, a few miles from the mainland, with large, imposing black mountains looming over the town. Originally, it functioned as a penal colony for the Order of the Golden Sun, and it was home to the largest prison on the continent. Over time it ceased to be sustainable to keep the prison running, as more and more soldiers were required elsewhere and very few could remain on the island as guards. After its abolition, the prisoners were transferred to different locations, and Goldcrest became a quiet town mostly popular as a place to retire. However, when gold sand was found on the southern shore a few years back, it quickly became a boomtown. The prison still exists, although it has long since fallen to ruins - it lies within the Blackstone Mountains.
