Saltspire Bay

Saltspire Bay lies on the western shores of the continent. It derives its name from the many sharp mineral-rich spires and rocks that make the bay difficult to navigate. Long ago, a large salt shipment crashed against these rocks during a storm and spread salt far and wide along the coast, making the ground around the Bay infertile. The fields have lain barren ever since, and the residents rely on imported goods and whatever they manage to fish from the sea for their food supply.
