College of Wildmagic

Those who favour the arcane arts, among other kinds of magic, may wish to visit the College of Wildmagic. The college is located within The Citadel, next to a library called, the Vault of Knowledge - a place where many students and intellectuals go to expand their knowledge of The Limbo Plane.   The College of Wildmagic offers free enrolment to those who possess magic abilities. Each program offered is one year in length; some programs include:
  • Transmutation - Students who graduate from this college are often employed as transmuters by The Veil for the purpose of transmuting a material called chaotic ore into an energy source that is used to fuel the magical veil. Chaotic ore can be mined within the city of Chaosia at Stonepick Mine; although, there are many fissures outside the city that contain vast quantities of chaotic ore, but the danger outside the magical veil can prove to be quite unforgiving.
  • Farming & Gardening - Druids tend to enrol in this program for their natural ability to cast Druidcraft and Mould Earth. Natural soil is difficult to come by on The Primordial Chunk, so many are typically hired for their skill with illusion magic, allowing them to simulate the appearance of floral gardens daily to those who can afford such services for the purpose of demonstrating wealth - typically only those who reside within The Citadel are privileged with such luxuries.
  • Scholars - The Limbo Plane is a wealth of untapped knowledge. Some who seek adventure will hire mercenaries to take them into The Outskirts beyond the magical veil to conduct studies in hopes to write books for the library known as, the Vault of Knowledge.
  • Conjuration - Conjurers are in high demand because The Primordial Chunk cannot naturally support plant life due to its parched soil and rocky surfaces. Clerics and paladins typically find their way into this field due to the ability to cast, Create Food and Water, though the taste is weakened in comparison to natural sustenance. Many foods and beverage merchants are either themselves conjurers or they employ conjurers to create food and water which is sold to the people of Chaosia. The food is bland, but nourishing, and spoils if uneaten within 24-hours. Water however retains its nutrients and is necessary for local taverns and alchemists.
  • Stone Building - The Primordial Chunk contains vast rock formations, so stone is the primary component used for any housing or building structures. Clerics, druids, and wizards make the perfect stone builders for their ability to cast the spell, Stone Shape.
