Lusprites
Lusprites are named after Lustros, the primordial embodiment of energy. From afar. they look like simple orbs of light. They can vary in brightness, color, and size. In truth, lusprites are bipedal creatures with two pairs of wings and two arms. Leaf-like ears sprout from the sides of their heads, with four extra 'leaves' settled on top. Soft fur covers their almost pill-like torsos, and the skin of their legs, arms, and face glow brightly.
Able to feed off of the energy of Yudryae itself, these sprites create tangible energy, producing ten times as much as they need. While excess energy provides plenty of nutrients, allowing for breeding and growth of the colony, it also fills the pockets in which they live, slowly suffocating them to death. Due to this, wild lusprites do not live long, often producing so much energy that they are only able to mate and reproduce in the single day before their time runs out.
Luckily for both the sprites and Yudryae, the syl have found a way to harvest the excess energy without harming the sprites, elongating their lifespans and overall quality of life. In turn, the planet is provided with a largely renewable source of power, none more so than the syl kingdom which thrives upon its leyline of energy.
Due to the large amounts of energy and the syl's set up for farming it, the sprites are a very intriguing find for predators. With the syl's protection, however, sprites are kept safe from attacks and minimum energy is lost to the wild.
