Airships

Adapted from conceptual plans dreamed up nearly five hundred years ago by the Chosen Sons, these primitive flying machines saw their first flight under the financing of the Silklords. They are almost completely dependent on natural winds, and hardly ever reach speeds over five knots, making them ill suited for much more than transportation. They are capable however of floating and functioning like any other ship once in the water, albeit unarmed and slow moving, which helps resupply the vessel or relieve it of waste. Tens of thousands were created between the Silklords and the Dragon Empire to make it to the New World, with only perhaps half of them completing the journey.
