The Infinite Serpent

A massive empire that controls most of the region’s richest resource deposits. They have achieved this by forcing their people into a constant state of expansion and war, however this momentum has started to slow. Despite access to advanced infrastructure left to them by their ancestors, disease and overpopulation has taken a toll on the people, and their brutal responses to law breakers does not improve the morale as intended. Their biggest failing is their lack of diplomacy, any perceived threat is annihilated, while anyone else is subjugated by overwhelming force. This has left their power structure brittle with many of their vassals hoping and even planning their demise.
