The Silklords

Already a massive empire in their home country, they are however often bullied on their borders and looking for easier resource pickings in the New World. They managed to settle without much consequence next to the Stonemen, building roads and establishing trade to form an uneasy alliance for a time. When the Dragon Empire attacked in the south however, regional peace was upset and a sort of cold war has been brewing between the two nations that are rarely the first to declare a war. The Silklords exert pressure over their roads, demanding tribute and tolls for the maintenance, while Stonemen extremists bully the traveling merchants and steal their wares.
