The Star Tribe

In stark contrast to their neighbors, the Star Tribe gained its power through passive means. The study of the stars and seasons gave them the ability to harvest their crops twice each year, and under the rule of an elected council, these resources were widely distributed amongst the people for centuries. They are also the only native civilization to navigate across an ocean using the stars, allowing them to control two shores across the Winding Sea. This paradise has come at a cost to the environment, and overpopulation threatens to upset the balance that has been peacefully held for so long. Unlike their native cousins, they are not as distrusting of foreigners, and welcome much of the trade from the Protectorate and the Compact. They are however wary of the Silklords, often hearing tales of The Dragon Empire's cruelty and attributing it to all the men who arrive by sky ships.
