11th of Haymond, 3518 - The Githyanki attack on Darnagal

One fateful day in mid 3518, three Githyanki spelljammers suddenly appeared above the port city of Darnagal. The astral raiders had devil allies at their side, as they rained flaming Lemures down on the city, causing widespread panic and devastation.
The guard, soldiers and adventurers sprung into action, doing their best to fend off the terrible attack. The invaders appeared to have a few goals that were accomplished, during the attack some captives were taken aboard the ship, though who these poor souls were is unknown. The airships launched a specific raid on the college of Brighthallow which resulted in the theft of certain artifacts and lore, though the leaders have been unwilling to say what specific items were stolen.
Archmage Pescennia Visennis was credited with the first successful retaliation against the Githyanki as she leveled the colleges experimental arcane cannon on what appeared to be the lead airship. A well placed blast hit the side of the Spelljammer, causing it to careen into the ground. The remaining Spelljammers escaped, while Darnagals guard was able to push the assault on the downed-ships survivors who fled into the Church of Muir.
Later investigations revealed a corrupted artifact in the church had been used as a beacon for the Githyanki attack. Most of the senior members of the temple had escaped unharmed, but many acolytes and worshippers had fallen to its evil sway.
With the assault over, work began on cleansing the temple of the corruption that had befallen it, and repairing the tremendous damage caused by the fires that spread throughout the city.
