Mitra is a controversial God that has greatly risen in popularity in recent times. For millenia, the concept of a singular, all-powerful God would be rediculous or downright blasphemous. Despite this, the God Mitra has risen among his followers as the One True God and believe that one day he will be the only God worshipped on Lloegyr. Mitra gained the domains of Muir and Thyr in the ages of their decline, and has maintained prominence with the common folk since. His worship is primarily found in the Foere Empire, but his clergy has quickly spread, and temples and shrine may be found in many lands. Mitra requires just and fair treatment from his followers, as well as piety and charity. Warriors and knights venerate Mitra through great deeds and heroic quests in his name. Commoners commonly show kindness to strangers and help their fellows in times of need. In recent times, the Church of Mitra has become one of the most dominant religions in the Empire. With the Crowning of the new Overking, his daughter Princess Jeanne Foere, a fervent worshipper of Mitra, has spread the religion like wildfire. Many believe she is what has spurned her father into reforging the Empire and preventing its further decline.Princess Jeanne does not tolerate worshippers of other faiths, and has worked to make Mitra the only God found within the Empires realms. Despite her efforts, she has recieved much pushback, and without her fathers decree, worship of others is still legal and widely accepted in the Empire. Older depictions of Mitra depict him as an expressionless face, but in the Rennasaince of painters that have begun depicting him in his most commonly accepted form, that of a three-faced human with four arms. Most other deities oppose Mitra for the audacity to consider himself the one True God. Despite this, he grows in faith and power, and some fear his rise to power.
