The Prefecture of Sophra is located in the north-eastern portion of the Kingdom of Suilley. It is comprised of the three regions named Nordii, Campi, and Indepii.
Nordii Region
The Nordii region is on the border of the Horticult Forest, and tends to be the most wild. Run-ins with fey, environmentalists and druids are common, for it is wild and tends to also attract the most bandits. The entire region is quite forested, with logging being a primary form of income. There is also a large clay pit near the Kami River, another valuable source of building materials. Unfortunately many have abandoned this area, for rumors of lycanthropes and bands of monstrous humanoids have caused even the hardiest of workers to seek safer areas.
Horticult Forest
This forest is a vast region of old growth, untouched by the axes of men or dwarves. For thousands of years it has been prowled and fiercly defended by fey and spirits who abhor the outside world.
While their worshippers are loathe to settle in a city, the servants of the God Silvanath have set up a large temple in Castlemir to give the wilds representation.
Campi Region
The Campi region tends to be the most rural, but also has features unique to the region. While the townsfolk cling to their own walls and borders to resist the threats of the wild, the region has the most farming villages and plains and provides the breadbasket for the Sophra prefecture. While it is the safest of the three regions, it none-the-less remains one of danger. There have been rumors of Drow and Duergar sighting, leading some to speculate that there are paths to the underdark found around the area. This area has more lakes than the others, which have been fishing locations for generations of farmers.
The region has a large amount of floating islands in the sky. These are collectively known as Rhianns islands, and their presence has been both a mystery and a source of wonder for those across Akados. Because Rhianns presence is powerful in this region, a temple to her was erected in the capital of Castlemir.
Indepii Region
The Indepii region tends to be the most rocky, with much of it remaining difficult for settlers to find solid footing to anchor houses to. Some have chosen cave dwellings, while others stick to the areas where there remains a sort of ashen dirt on the ground. The area is home to Lakua Peak, a large volcano, and remains a source of fear and awe for those entering Suilley from the northern road. The worshippers of Lakua worship this mountain as its God and a sign of their deity, one that all those around revere and fear.
This area also remains a lucrative mining location, if a dangerous one, having many veins digging into the volcanos side a well as the hilly region around it. Despite efforts to make the trade-routes into the area safe, wyverns, harpies, and if the rumors are to be believed, dragons, have harassed these armored caravans.
Castlemir
The capital of the Prefecture, Castlemir lies on the border of the three regions. While the smallest of all the prefecture capitals, it none-the-less still a vast metropolitan city. Residents in the region treat it as the place of safety it is, for the entire border of the city is walled, and no structures exist immediately outside its its walls. From castlemir, Knights of Lakua Mao patrol the main roads.
