Favored Weapon: Spear Vorkeia is the many-faceted creator goddess of the Goliaths. She is the embodiment of the goliath spirit of self-improvement and communal strength, and encompasses all their ways of life through her many aspects. She is known as the Mountain-Mother, and is said to be closest to the goliaths who live the traditional life in the frigid climes of Lloegyr's mountains, where survival is a brutal struggle that demands the best from those who dare seek it. Many goliaths revere Vorkeia, whether they live in the mountains or otherwise. Her creed encourages them to not only better themselves in order to survive their own personal struggles, but also to push allies and even enemies to grow in strength as well. Traditional Vorkeian goliaths are concerned with the survival of the tribe as a whole, with every individual's strength contributing to the community. Elderly or disabled individuals are not discarded, and are encouraged to contribute to the tribe to the best of their capabilities until they are no longer capable. A strong and able-bodied goliath is expected to lend his or her strength to those who cannot muster the same might, creating a society of both personal accountability and strong reliance on tight bonds. Competition is sacred to Vorkeia, for testing one's self against others is the surest way of growing stronger. Many goliaths compete in nearly everything they do; two scouts might race to a mountaintop, a band of warriors might keep track of kill counts in battle, and elderly seers compete to remember and tell the most tales. To other races, goliaths might seem insufferably competitive, but to many goliaths, this is a sacred act and a way to venerate the mighty Mountain-Mother. Vorkeia is known to embody six aspects, which carry their own names and areas of concern. These aspects are considered separate entities, yet simultaneously are all facets of Vorkeia's personality and dominion over life in the mountains. When Vorkeia is spoken of acting in myth, she is said to become one of her aspects to do so.
