Arveš the Seeker
Arveš "the Seeker" "Goldcap" "Dawnstrider" "Lucksong" "Windwhisper" "Emberheart" Vakhni is a legendary figure in the mountains of Isturoth. He is a well-renowned traveler, explorer, and rogueish character, and is most famous (or infamous) for his guidebooks and maps.
History
Arveš was born into a wealthy širan family in the northern kingdom of Vašira. Having grown up with a good education, he knew much about the world from what he had read in books, but had experienced very little from the privileged, sheltered upbringing. Despite being provided with anything he could ask for, he still yearned for excitement and adventure beyond the shallow comforts of home. And so, leaving home completely unprepared for the outside world, Arveš began his travels and his new life as the self-assumed role of "guide" to Isturoth.Personality
Arveš the Seeker has been described as an "impetuous but engaging rogue" as well as "pompous and pretentious". Many have claimed he was given to "exaggeration, misrepresentation, and flights of fancy" when it came to his stories about his travels and adventurers, giving him a reputation for embellishing the truth and for bragging. He also had an overly high opinion of himself and his place in the world. He also tended to be ambitious, or more precisely, greedy. Arveš has been known to possess a silver tongue and to be quite verbose, even bombastic, but overly honest and mocking. However it can't be denied that he was one of the more charming individuals in the world. Arveš often claims to have restless feet and a love of travel, of seeing new things and living life to the full, though his may just have been an excuse for his long journeys and exciting adventures.
