The Awakening
The god of both time and death in the Isturian pantheon is known by the name of Drevok. It is widely-believed that Drevok slumbers beneath the earth so they can better manage the forces of life and death and the flow of time.
However, this belief is followed by the understanding that if ever Drevok should wake, these forces will cease to function correctly. Time will no longer flow and the forces of life and death will have no meaning. Rituals such as the Lullaby of the Deep are designed to keep Drevok sleeping soundly and to sooth the destructive force of Jokhosh, who threatens to wake Drevok and any moment.
In the event of Drevok waking from their deep sleep beneath the earth, they would find themselves unable to manage the flow of time and life, so there would be no more death and decay, just like there would be no more birth and growth. After this, Drevok would be powerless. Jokhosh would soon attempt to seize control over the deity's domain and rise to the surface once more, delivering chaos and monsters to all those to inhabit the mortal plane. There would be pain and suffering for all eternity with no return of life to the earth and no afterlife in the skiy.
Kohra and their protection beyond the clouds would be powerless and would eventually run out of protectors, as no new ones can be made. The wyrms and their spawn would flood the world as well, leading to the total annihilation of everyone, and leaving a world of chaotic monsters and a shattered, burning landscape.
