“Three’s a curse,” she finished. “You think I haven’t heard that rubbish before?”
“I know you have.” When she glared at him, he added, “It’s not as if I’m plumbing the depths of your mind, dear girl. That is the burden of every tiefling. Some break under it, some make it the millstone around their neck, some revel in it.” He tilted his head again, scrutinizing her, with that wicked glint in his eyes. “You fight it, don’t you? Like a little wildcat, I wager. Every little jab and comment just sharpens your claws.”

age: Tieflings mature at the same rate as humans but live a few years longer.

alignment: Tieflings might not have an innate tendency toward evil, but many of them end up there. Evil or not, an independent Nature inclines many Tieflings toward a chaotic Alignment.

Tieflings are about the same size and build as humans. Your size is Medium.

Darkvision

Thanks to your infernal heritage, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Hellish Resistance

You have resistance to fire damage.

Infernal Legacy

You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the hellish rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the darkness spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Description

Appearance

• Tieflings have the same average size as humans
• Tieflings have the widest array of skin tones. They cover the entire spectrum of human shades as well as red, orange, purple, green, black, and blue. Their hair can also be any of these colors
• Tieflings have eyes with no visible scler or pupil that burn like flames and have the color to match. There are reds, oranges, yellows, and blues. Sometimes however you will see a tiefling with eyes like deep black pools or they could be milky white
• There are many different combinations of fiendish features that Tieflings possess. They can have as few as one of these features or they can have many of them. These features include: curling horns like a ram, straight and tall horns like a gazelle, spiral horns like an antelope, small horns, fangs or sharp teeth, goat-like legs, cloven hoofs, a thick tail, a forked tail, and leathery skin.

Homeland

There is still some hostility from those in High Elven cities towards Tieflings as elves have long memories, and they make it quite clear they are not welcome there. However, though they are not an especially large population, Tieflings can be found within most societies.
The rise in popularity of the Church of Menekris caused some issues for Tieflings as they are considered “tainted creations” and not of the creator. So naturally they suffered some rather extreme racism and were run out of the Holy Aladonian Empire. Tieflings have learned to stay away from any city flying The Silver Eagle.

Religion

While many don’t feel like they belong to any Gods, some have found peace in the most accepting of sects.
