Black Writher
Tentacle Demon (?)
"Size: large enough to swallow five people. Danger: High. Features: Thick, black, and slimy tentacles that have sharp sides and one red eye on each. These horrifying creatures are not ones that I have personally encountered at all, but some compatriots of mine have recently discovered one in the Sazedi Mines. It attached itself to miners via its tentacles and began whacking them mercilessly with these grotesque appendages until each was a bloody mass. It was only a good blast of ice magic from the local mage that was enough to slow it down to the point where they could hack at it with sword and axe." ~Sakati Peraltia, Demons of the Abyss
Basic Information
Anatomy
A black writher is basically a mass of slimy purplish-black tentacles. Each tentacle has a small eye on the end and have sharp edges, and the main "body" of tentacles contains a stomach and whatever kind of brain this demon has.
Ecology and Habitats
Due to being a species of The Unending Abyss, the black writher is at home in most environments where it can get enough food to stay alive. It avoids cold and direct sunlight, however, although these do not directly harm it as such.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They are carnivores, and it waits until a potential source of food comes within a short distance of it and then it wraps its tentacles around it and flays it death.
