Endamian Dwarf

" I lived a long life among the Dwarves long before I became a seeker of glory. I was already well-known as the best wordsmith in my town, even before I set to words what I am writing now. All would come with clever book bindings or new writing implements in exchange for a copy of my writings... It was sad to leave them behind to make my way in a world full of the Taller Ones. "   ~ Alan the Adventurer, Tales of Discovery on Earth

Names are commonly kinds of rocks or minerals, but many are named for rulers or historical figures.

    Average Technological Level

Dwarves have slightly better technology than their human neighbours due to their magical superiority and fondness for invention. All the same, this is basically late-medieval in scope.

    Major Language Groups and Dialects

There is a common trade language between dwarves, but the major language can be split into five dialects depending on which mountain range they call home.

    Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

15 Frostmonth is the observed festival of Srêtânen, which marks the date of their creation by the god Sret. Otherwise, certain festivals are important to certain groups and towns.

    Common Myths and Legends

The dwarves were created by the god Sret back in the ancient times, and his sons Kwist and Chek taught the race of dwarves how to forge metals and craft tools and weapons.

    Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Most dwarves get along with humans. What few dwarves that have travelled beyond Endaman have seen some of Renathian Dwarf culture, which is a big fascination among the general dwarf population.
