Namas the Patient

Head Chieftain of Fallen Felwasin

Oh, Namas? Nobody's seen him for nearly a fortnight, I think. He gets about. Maybe try again later?
— A particularly unhelpful guard in Hatcheton
Namas, known as the Patient to his friends and the Wretched to his enemies, is the main chieftain of the Orcs of the Fell Wastes. Most people don't even know it; Namas rarely makes a big show of his presence like some orcish captains, and what few public appearances he makes reinforce the idea that he's just as warmongering and short-sighted as the rest. The truth is far more worrisome...for his enemies, anyway.

Appearance and Abilities

Namas is very tall, even for the rather big orcs of Renath. His skin is rather smooth and scar-free, leading to (incorrect) objections that he hasn't really been tested on the field of battle yet. He does have one nasty wound on his leg, leading to him using a small cane-like stick to move around when he is not riding his horse.   Namas carries the ancestral blade of his clan, Anklebiter, in a dark scabbard attached to his waist, as well as wearing a breastplate bearing the symbol of The Vain Fist that is often hidden under the black and red shirts he enjoys wearing. In addition, he tends to carry a shrunken-head totem that he uses as a focus for his magic spells.

Travels and Travails

Namas travels for most of the year. Most think this is because he doesn't like ruling very much and that he's a bit of a coward for not taking his role seriously, but it's actually because he takes his role seriously. Being the ruler of a large nation like Fallen Felwasin, especially one where the chieftains tend to have minds of their own, many would simply allow the chaos to go unfettered. Namas is different; he wants to keep his position secure, and thereby the continued prosperity of the Fell Wastes.    The way he does this is by travelling to each and every village, town and encampment himself. He almost always wears a disguise, magical or otherwise, to evade knowledge, and checks up on his various subjects as much as he can. That way, if there is even a hint of rebellion or disrespect in the town, it can be nipped in the bud before it can spread or grow.
