Plakar Larges

Sitting at the desk in the Magistrate's manor's entrance hall, you see a small man, almost dwarf-size. He has his legs rested up on the desk, which only makes him appear even smaller. He notices you entering and puts down a book that he had been reading, showing you the rest of his rounded face and his brown curly hair. He wears a dark grey and short robe and brown trousers, with long sleeves covering his short arms.   "Oh!" he says with a bit of a squeak. "Plakar Larges. Do you have an appointment with the Lord Magistrate of the Gratic Empire or would you like to make one?"

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Plakar is slightly lethargic and doesn't like to move very much.

Body Features

He has very pale skin and short arms and legs.

Facial Features

His head is very rounded and plump, which frankly makes him look a little like a hairy baby.

Apparel & Accessories

He tends to wear simple clothing, opting for darker colours and long sleeves.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Plakar grew up in a middle class family in Gratic City, where he learned to read and write. When it came time for him to serve in the army, he opted out and went into the civil service, where he was made the scribe of the Magistrate of Plainér Town. He's served the post for the past seven years.

Morality & Philosophy

He isn't interested in being a good man or even a hard-working one, deciding that life is meant to be used in the pursuit of happiness and joy. He has little interest in his job, as he rarely has fun there.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Plakar lives from day to day, not holding onto any dreams or being motivated to do much of anything. He approaches most tasks with apathy and isn't likely to do a whole lot of work if it doesn't benefit him or isn't absolutely necessary.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

  • He knows a great deal of stories, as well as a lot of knowledge about history, geography, religion, and even magic (although he can't use it himself).
  • He isn't very knowledgeable about nature or farming, which gets him into hilarious conversations with those talking about such topics.
  • Likes & Dislikes

  • He likes to read and spends much of his time when he's supposed to be working reading.
  • He dislikes his job, but isn't interested in looking for another.
  • Virtues & Personality perks

  • A keen mind.
  • When he does set his mind to a task, it will be done.
  • Vices & Personality flaws

  • His laziness, obviously.
  • A lack of motivation.
  • A taste for the finer things in life.
  • Hygiene

He isn't interested in wasting time getting clean or well-dressed, which means he often smells a little or has some stains on his clothing.

    Social

    Social Aptitude

He is very bad at social interaction, as he has spent much of his time interacting with the people in written form or in books. He is very skittish and would never do anything that could do him harm. He doesn't draw much attention to himself when he does decide to talk. He has very good manners and etiquette.

    Hobbies & Pets

  • Reading is his greatest hobby
  • He does have a taste for finer things, and he is often the first to taste new wines or foods brought to the Magistrate's manor.
  • Speech

He has a tendency to squeak when he speaks and his speech can come out a little stunted.

    Wealth & Financial state

A scribe for a Magistrate makes a significant sum of money, but Plakar spends it quickly on books and some finer food or drink. His house is a little rundown as he refuses to spend the money or the time needed to fix it.
