Yali
The Protector, The Avenger
"Blessed be Yali, for She fought the demons and guaranteed the freedom of the People in their time of need...Yali may carry weapons and armour like a soldier, but Her fight is not for personal glory, and neither should it be the soldier's pursuit. She fights only because She must, for there are dark things of evil that lurk in the dark places; Her light shines into these places, protecting those around her from those that mean harm."
~The Long Prayer and the Short Prayer
Lady of the Warrior Priests
In the old days of the Kingdom of Hayim, the priests of Yali were commonly warriors as well as priests, dispensing Her justice to the wicked with fire and sword. It is said that the books that contained such battle prayers and war chants are still able to be found in the ruins of older temples or locked away in the vaults of noble collectors. The Hayim priests of today, of course, are not ones for going into combat, and any priest who does so is shunned by the community for turning away from the gods.Divine Domains
