Identifying Characteristics

Commonly depicted in his old age he is shown as a dark sinned man with greying hair. His wears a reliable working suit popular around the year 0. Always shown wearing spectacles of some kind and usually holding papers measuring devices.

Personal history

Though not much is known about Mentus early life but at some point he became a scribe. Working at the courts in Greenfall he began to study the stars in relationship to the seasons. He was not the first notice a connection between the heavens and earth but he was the first to map it. Mentus drafted the first accurate calendar and after many of years of calculations he perfected it so that is is sill accurate to this day.
After his death, and the subsequent new star that could be seen in the heavens, his calendar was adopted though much of the civilized world, with the first year recorded as the year Mentus died.
