Caused by a rare species of mushroom that is found in the norther region of the land.

Symptoms

Sky Bound is a condition where the subject gets extreme hallucinations. They feel as though they are conceted to the Heavens and the Gods themselves. True or not many believe that they can commune with the gods when they take the mushroom. The main symptom that almost everyone experiences is a separation of one form their body, they feel like they are being raise into the skies and until they are among the stars. There can be dangers though as the condition lasts for varying lengths of time with some people never waking up from their hallucinations.

Cultural Reception

While it is expensive in many places the drug is also used in many religious ceremonies, especially by priest who want to get closer to the gods. There can be much money to be made by those willing to find the mushrooms and trasport them to other places in the world. After there it is normally made into a drink and consumed within a holy place. While rare it can happen when whole congregations will take the drug at once. When this happens the people tend to have slightly different experiences but many claim to have see others also raise into the skies with them as they take the drug. 
It is said though that the Star Children are not effected by this drug at all making some claim that this has no connection to gods at all as those closet related to the gods are unaffected. Though others use this to strengthen the claim, as those they are the people who already have pieces of the gods within them and do not need to be brought closer to the gods.
